Who is Valeria?
I’m an NYU Tandon senior studying Integrated Digital Media. I study the intersections between photography, design, content creation and web development. However, I don’t feel any of these things can help make the world better and happier without an application - mine is food and drink.
I haven’t gone to pastry school (yet!) and I still have a lot to learn about sugar and butter, but I am completely in love with food, baking and drinks! Taste has become my favorite sense and it should be yours too! Chocolate chip cookies, mango ice cream, cacio e pepe pasta and coconut muscow mules, all available to you thanks to your tastebuds. My passion as a photographer and stylist is to translate that taste into an image that will make you hungry. YUM.
I was lucky enough to take a semester-long course about Food and Food Science, where I learned cooking and baking 101, knife skills, herbs, spices and the whole intro thing. - What an incredible journey!
In summer 2018, I was very lucky to work as a food photography intern for food blogger Dining with Skyler.
Currently, I am interning as a digital media intern for Slow Food USA and working as a docent for the Museum of Food and Drink.
I’m currently seeking for a full time opportunity in food/drink photography, styling, design and cooking/baking. Places with a consciousness for food culture, justice, and ethics are a plus!
